Featured in the Art of Rock, this bright and colorful original 1967 poster featuring Big Brother and the Holding Company (Janis Joplin) and the Human Beings is much sought after by collectors because of its rare venue, the Ark. Located just over the Golden Gate Bridge, the Ark was a converted paddleboat and a legendary venue known for its popularity with the bands themselves. The Grateful Dead even practiced there on occasional afternoons. This show was a benefit for the Valley Peace Center and was designed by artist Brighton Goodfellow.
